Weekend Playlist: Wolverines In Time.

September 14, 2009

When I said I wanted to do a Weekend Playlist regularly, I meant regularly according to MY definition. This does not necessarily coincide with YOUR definition of regularly. This weekend I played two games, pretty much. One of them is older and has been out for some time, the other is really old, but recently got a facelift for current generation consoles. Thankfully, it was rainy here on Saturday, perfect excuse to blow the entire day playing games! I love rainy weekends!

Weekend Playlist: Bit.Trip Racing

July 20, 2009

It has been a while since we have done a weekend playlist, so I thought I might pipe up and throw one at you. Of course, I spent time playing Bit.Trip Core. But the Wii didn’t take up all of my gaming time this weekend.

Weekend Playlist: What Rain Will Make People Do

May 4, 2009

Sorry I was gone for so long, guys. Had family in from Japan and it was a non-stop fun fest here at the Jason house.

So over the weekend, I got some game time in now that things have settled down a bit. Sort of an eclectic weekend, too. With so much rain, I had time to go through old boxes of stuff. Have a gander at my…dum dum da-dum….WEEKEND PLAYLIST!

New Classics: Super Stardust HD

April 16, 2009

Ever spend a Saturday afternoon sitting in your mom’s basement, unwashed, and in the same outfit of sweatpants and filthy, pizza and beer stained wife-beater tank top you’ve been wearing for 3 weeks, playing Asteroids? A time when men were men, and people who played video games got beat up, and were largely ignored by women. Now, years later, I no longer get beat up, but am still ignored by women. While modern games are all well and good, there will always be a place in my heart, in my very soul, for games that take me back to my earlier days of nerd-dom. The other night, I was poking around the Playstation Network and stumbled upon a game that is kind of a mix between the classic games Defender, and Uridium. That game, is called Astro Tripper.

Gamefly…or LAMEfly.

February 9, 2009

Ok, I know, that was a really stupid play on Gamefly’s name, but I have a bone to pick with the company. I have been a loyal, paying customer for a long time and, I’ve seen it go from an awesome service to a….less than awesome service. Please read on.

It really is new, we promise….

January 21, 2009

Would you buy a product labeled “new” if it was previously opened? No matter the circumstance under which is was opened. Let’s have a hypothetical. You are in a store, and are staring at two products on a shelf, both exactly the same, and for the same price. The difference between these two products is that one is wrapped nicely in manufacturer’s cellophane, and the other has been opened. The opened one does not appear to be damaged in any way, nor is it missing any of the packaging contents. Which one would you pick up to purchase? A story, and a discussion inside.
