I am a major, silly, big-time fan of Punch-Out!! Have been since I was a little kid. Memories of staying up late and secretly playing on school nights are still fresh in my mind. It’s just an absurdly fun game, wonderfully designed, and a rare gem. In just a few weeks, Wii owners will be getting a brand new Punch-Out!! of their own.
Game evolutions and updates fascinate me for some reason. I guess I love seeing characters and concepts rethought with new technologies, especially when the update comes almost 20 years after the original. It’s fascinating to see how the characters take on such dynamic personalities that the technology of old couldn’t portray. I just wanted to post a couple videos here so you could check out what an amazing evolution Punch-Out!! is going through.
